Ever since the very first video demo hit the 'net, Spore has been one of the most hotly anticipated games. It is a Wil Wright game after all. The fact that it's massively open-ended and allows you to play god is all the more reason for the excitement. To top it all off, it will be available across most gaming platforms -- from PC to console to handheld to mobile.

monki: I actually got to see the original public debut of spore, which is to say I've probably been waiting longer than almost anybody. Looked great even then.
